Lewis, Clifford (Cliff) C. Jr. A resident of Rio Rancho, NM since 1995 died unexpectedly Sunday, February 15, 2015. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Sanders and husband, JR of Albuquerque, NM; his father, Pastor Clifford Lewis, Sr. and wife, Alaine of Lorton, VA; his maternal grandmother, Gladys Faye Scroggins-Maize of Rio Rancho, NM; his paternal grandmother, Bertha Lee Douglas-Lewis of Shreveport, LA; his daughters, Arianna and Aaliyah and their mother, Janice Norman of Corrales, NM; his sister, Nicole and boyfriend, Joshua and their daughter, Gabriella of Rio Rancho, NM; brothers, Christopher and wife, Hatherly and their son, Layton currently stationed in JBLM, WA, Courtney and wife, Amanda and their son, Casen currently stationed at Nellis AFB, LV; in addition to loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Cliff was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jessie Jett, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Thomas John Lewis, Sr.; his maternal great-grandparents, Pete. D. and Mae Ross (Bailey) Scroggins; his paternal great-grandparents, Pastor McKinley Sr., and Snola B. (Anderson) Lewis; and Pastor Alonso and Eddie Lee (Vernon) Douglas. Cliffs joy came from being with his two daughters Arianna and Aaliyah, cooking, BBQing, and he took great pleasure in spending time with his family and friends. He also loved the outdoors, was an avid camper and a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. Cliff loved the Lord and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and throughout his life’s trials and tribulations his faith never wavered. Please join us in honoring and celebrating Cliff’s life on Saturday, February 21, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at New Life Baptist Church, 6900 Los Volcanes Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. Cremation has taken place and Cliff has been interred at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Cliff’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of French’s Mortuary, Pastor Larry Allen and the staff of New Life Baptist Church for hosting and organizing Cliff’s Going Home Celebration, Robin King for assisting in Cliff’s care, Donielle Auguston of OMI, the Sandoval County EMT staff, also everyone who brought food, sent flowers or made donation toward Cliff’s final expenses.
