Carroll Mahaffey

Age 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, went to be with the Lord and “the love of his life,” wife, Jerri Mahaffey on Monday, December 17, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Geraldine “Jerri” Mahaffey; parents Josephine and Mark Mahaffey; siblings Bill Mahaffey, Paul Mahaffey and Don Mahaffey. Those he left behind to mourn his loss are sons, Scott Mahaffey and wife, Joyce of Denison, TX, Richard Mahaffey and wife, Margaret of Charlotte, NC and Kevin Mahaffey and wife, Cindy of Heartland, TX; daughter, Leslie Haye and husband, Mark of Sammanish, WA; grandsons, Christopher Mahaffey of Nashville, TN, Roland Mahaffey and wife, CayCee of Nashville, TN, Patrick Mahaffey of College Station, TX, Seth Haye and wife Jolyn of Calabasas, CA, Dane Haye and wife, Brooke of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin Mahaffey Jr., and wife, Autumn of McKinney, TX, Joshua Mahaffey and wife, Virginia of Frisco, Texas; David Mahaffey of Mesquite, TX; granddaughters, Kimberly Mahaffey Bones and husband, Gary of Carrollton, Texas, Melanie Mahaffey of Oklahoma City, OK, Tammy Mahaffey Ware and husband, Jason of Garland, TX, Brandi Mahaffey Mywia and husband, Eric of Lawton, OK; great-grandchildren, Ethan Bones, Kiley Haye, Zoe Mahaffey, Andrew and Isabella Mahaffey, Mariah and Sophia Mywia. Surviving brothers are Charles Mahaffey of Bixby, OK, John Mahaffey of Azle, TX, David Mahaffey of Houston, TX, and sister, Margery Brinkley of Weatherford, TX. Mr. Mahaffey was a valued and respected employee as a Sales Engineer with Johns-Manville for over 35 years. He was an avid golfer and loved playing with family and friends. Most of all he was a faithful Christian and was a member of the Northeast Albuquerque Church of Christ. Mr. Mahaffey was a loving husband, and father and will be deeply missed by all. Friends may visit Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming. Services will be held Friday, December 21, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Northeast Albuquerque Church of Christ, 11000 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122 with Bud Woodall, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joe and Jerri Mahaffey to Northeast Albuquerque Church of Christ, 11000 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122. Honorary Pallbearers are TJ Archer, Roy Hopper, Lew Wasson, Bob Pogna, Charles Mahaffey, John Mahaffey, David Mahaffey and Margery Brinkley.
